Octavo Designs, founded in 2000, works from downtown Frederick, Maryland with a four-person team—Sue Hough, Seth Glass, Cory McNamee, and Katie Lamb—handling branding, packaging, and web design for small, niche projects. Clients include publishing houses, schools, retail businesses, professional and non-profit organizations, and national associations.

The studio's services cover website design and development, visual identity and brand guidelines, packaging design, illustration, environmental branding, marketing materials, and event and trade show graphics. Its packaging work has appeared on The Dieline and Packaging of the World, web projects have been featured in the WordPress Showcase at WordPress.org, and the firm has received more than 500 national and local industry design awards, along with recognition from Print magazine, Graphic Design USA magazine, David E. Carter, Logo Lounge, the American Advertising Federation, and the Greater Frederick Advertising Federation.
