Agronomix

Agronomix Software builds Genovix, a plant breeding software platform used by plant breeders, crop researchers, and agronomists in more than 40 countries. The company was founded in 1990 by Dieter Mulitze, who holds a PhD in Plant Breeding and Quantitative Genetics, and the software has been developed and refined over the past 30 years to reflect the practical demands of breeding programs rather than generic data tools.

Genovix addresses the specific workflow of breeding research: tracking yield data, managing and analyzing large sets of trial results, handling seed inventory, and supporting the kind of data organization that drives research productivity. Agronomix launched Genovix publicly at the International Seed Federation World Seed Congress in 2019 in Nice, France, positioning it within the seed and breeding industry rather than as a general agricultural product. Training is built into the offering through a dedicated Genovix learning centre and in-person instruction, including a Genovix course held in Frankfurt, aimed at helping research teams get functional use out of the software rather than leaving adoption to self-service documentation.

Agronomix Software is now part of the CULTURA Technologies group, aligning it with a broader set of agricultural technology resources while keeping its plant breeding focus. Christopher Leonard, MBA, serves as President and General Manager. Between the company's three-decade development history, its founder's academic grounding in quantitative genetics, and its global footprint across 40-plus countries, Agronomix presents itself less as a software vendor and more as a long-running technical partner to breeding programs that need reliable data management alongside applied training.
