Akshay Vig works as a graphic designer and illustrator out of Los Angeles, focused on the entertainment and fashion industries. The practice centers on image making and art direction for commercial merchandise, built from a method of collage and sampling vintage and archived graphics rather than working from a blank page.
That archival, collage-driven approach extends into a personal streetwear and merchandise line inspired by South Asian culture, where repurposed imagery becomes the basis for wearable graphics. The same visual language carries into commercial commissions, where vintage source material is reworked into new prints, covers, and collateral for clients across music and fashion.
Commercial output includes prints and graphics developed for GUESS?.INC, primarily for graphic tees, with pieces featured in Dresscode Press Paris. Music-industry work includes cover art, logo, and merchandise for Shreea Kaul and Rehma's single "Ladke," plus social media assets produced for the Warp Mode music collective. Repurposed pieces have also been adapted into merch posters supporting Beirut Blast relief and Covid Relief efforts.
