Alsa Photography and Film works with both consumer and commercial clients in Billings, covering weddings from the initial consultation through a couple's final deluxe album or edited digital images. Family portraits are shot in a softlight studio or in a natural outdoor setting, alongside senior portraits marking high school graduation and business portraits meant for professional use.

Beyond still photography, the studio produces creative video work intended to promote a business or service, and offers low altitude aerial photography for a different vantage on a subject. Photo restoration, photo compositing, and professional portrait retouching round out the technical services, with graphic design work supporting projects such as wedding albums.

The studio traces back to Jerry and Patti, two artists who met and decided to collaborate on a business, taking the name Alsa from Al Salah, the name of Patti's Arabian horse farm, which translates to "the friendship." Jerry came up through the photography business during his formative years on Long Island, New York, while Patti, a Montana native, developed her eye for fine photography working in a portrait studio during college. Her art degree informs the finishing touches on Alsa's images, including restoration work, graphic design, and wedding album design.
