Anexia

Anexia was founded in 2006 by Alexander Windbichler in Klagenfurt, Austria, and has grown into a global cloud and internet service provider. The company operates more than 100 server locations spread across 70 countries and serves over 210,000 international clients, giving it a footprint that extends well beyond its Austrian base.

Work spans managed web hosting, cloud hosting across AWS, Azure and GCP, and custom application development for clients that need individual software rather than off-the-shelf platforms. Teams build mobile apps, e-commerce systems, and high-traffic portals, and handle the systems integration and microservices and API work needed to connect them to existing infrastructure. Data engineering pipelines round out the offering for clients managing larger volumes of information. Physical infrastructure runs through data centers in Vienna (DATASIX and InterXion) and Klagenfurt, which underpin the hosting and cloud services delivered to its client base.

Anexia holds ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and ISO 14001 certifications, covering quality management, information security, privacy information management, and environmental management respectively — a set of credentials relevant to clients in regulated or security-conscious sectors evaluating a hosting and infrastructure partner. The combination of owned data center capacity, multi-cloud hosting expertise, and in-house development capability allows the company to take on projects that move between infrastructure provisioning and application build-out, rather than treating hosting and software development as separate engagements.
