Based in Ringwood with a second office in Sydney, Appomate has built Android, iOS and web apps since 2010, working with more than 100 clients across Australia. The practice is aimed squarely at non-technical and first-time founders, with a client base that also includes larger enterprise organisations alongside startups.

For early-stage clients, Appomate runs MVP app development intended to get a working version live in two to three months, paired with rapid prototyping to validate an idea before committing further budget. That early work often extends into building a business plan to support funding conversations. Once a product moves past MVP, services cover native iOS and Android development, cross-platform builds, mobile backend and API work, app QA and testing, app store optimisation, mobile CI/CD, and ongoing maintenance and updates.

Past projects show the range of problems these apps solve: Barki, built around the relationship between dogs and their owners; 1 Giant Mind, a meditation app designed to make the practice more accessible; Hire That App, a local classifieds marketplace in Australia; and Hospool, a "staff on standby" app connecting hospitality workers with shifts.
