Athens Technology Center

Founded in Athens in 1987, Athens Technology Center has spent more than three decades building software and AI systems for clients across over 16 industries, with headquarters in Greece and customers extending into the US, EMEA and SEA. Work spans AI-driven data analysis and process automation for both private companies and public institutions, alongside sector-specific products such as AI-powered publishing platforms and newsroom automation tools, Smart Factory systems that connect production, planning and monitoring, AI-based fraud detection built to flag suspicious patterns, and end-to-end digital learning ecosystems for schools, universities and enterprises.

The technical core covers application development, systems integration, data engineering pipelines, data warehousing and BI dashboards, paired with AI strategy, governance and ML model development. Much of the work is delivered as tailored software platforms, APIs and integrations built for complex digital transformation projects, alongside end-to-end news and editorial management systems for publishers and news agencies rather than off-the-shelf products.

Proof points include a collaborative content-verification platform developed with Deutsche Welle (DW) to check the validity of user-generated content, and tools that identify influencers and detect trolls and bots by profiling Twitter accounts. Corporate history includes a contract award from Camelot UK for outsourced software development and professional services, a commercial partnership with i-exceed (India) around Appzillon Digital Banking Solutions, and the establishment of ATC International as a Belgium-based subsidiary. Athens Technology Center is a founding member of the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) and holds ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
