Cantilever was founded in New York in 2011 by designer/developer Ty Fujimura, building websites for organizations ranging from small nonprofits to larger institutions. The agency has since grown into a distributed operation, with staff across six countries speaking more than twenty languages, while keeping headquarters in NYC. Work spans website design, landing pages, frontend and backend development, headless CMS builds, API and systems integration, accessibility remediation, and security hardening.
Projects start from a consultative, people-focused process rather than a fixed template, with data and diagnostics used to guide technology decisions before development begins.
