Cat 5 Technologies

Direct fiber optic connectivity feeds the servers Cat 5 Technologies runs in-house, backed by multiple UPS units and natural gas generators for uninterrupted uptime. Based in Dearborn, Michigan, the company serves clients worldwide and takes its name from its cabling background, with technicians having pulled over 60,000 feet of Cat 5 and Cat 6 cable across jobs of varying scale.

Infrastructure work covers network cabling in Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6a, server rack installation, network switch installation, and full network design and installation, with computer training and maintenance handled on-site at the client's office. On the web side, the company builds sites from a library of thousands of templates, offers customer-oriented web design, and manages domain registration and DNS through its own domain management tool, alongside web hosting and web-based email.

Together, the two sides of the business let a client run cable, rack a server, and put a hosted website and email address on top of it through a single vendor. The hosting itself sits on Cat 5 Technologies' own equipment, tying the physical network work to the web services built on it.
