Founded in September 1998 by President Rob Salerno, Cinnamon Entertainment Group grew out of a mix of small-business marketing work and entertainment industry services. The agency splits its work between digital marketing for local small businesses and SimpleVerse, its artist management and video editing arm, which handles post-production out of New York City. Arts & Entertainment clients, including fine art photography accounts, make up a distinct part of the client base alongside more conventional small-business SEO clients.

On the digital marketing side, services cover technical SEO and local SEO with a localization focus, PPC and paid search management through Google Ads, email marketing and newsletter content, social media marketing, and website development on Shopify or WordPress. The post-production side under SimpleVerse handles video editing for artists and entertainment clients directly from its NYC operation, giving the agency a hand in both search-driven lead generation and creative production work.

Beyond client services, Cinnamon Entertainment Group publishes and operates a set of niche websites and one mobile app. CliquePrize, an iOS app, is built for lead generation. NJJobMarket.com, launched in 2005, targets mid-career to executive job seekers in New Jersey, while BioTechPharmJobs and MobileWirelessJobs, both started in 2006, serve executive-level recruitment in their respective sectors. DreamBackfield.com, founded in 2014, runs as an unofficial Pittsburgh sports analytics blog, and Insurtech.Marketing, launched in 2025, is a newer consulting offering built specifically for insurance marketing clients.
