Circlepoint

Founded in 1987 by Kay Wilson, Circlepoint works from Oakland with municipal, state, and federal agencies on projects that sit at the intersection of environmental review and public communication. Much of the work involves preparing CEQA and NEPA documentation for transportation and land use projects, where the agency partners with planning and design teams from the earliest stages to identify environmental constraints before they become costly problems later in a project's life.

Beyond compliance documentation, Circlepoint provides integrated communications and environmental services aimed at moving projects from concept to completion. Resiliency work is a specific focus area, helping communities, organizations, and ecosystems prepare for and adapt to climate-related risks. On the outreach side, the agency specializes in reaching underrepresented communities so that public programs and services extend equitable access rather than defaulting to whoever is easiest to reach.

The staff includes environmental analysts, communication specialists, designers, project managers, principals, and executive leaders, reflecting the dual nature of the practice. Circlepoint holds SBE, LBE, and DBE certifications, relevant credentials for the public-sector clients it serves.
