CleverOgre

CleverOgre opened its doors in Pensacola, Florida in 2008 as a creative branding agency, and the owner-operator team still works from Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast today. Its client base leans toward small to medium-sized businesses, non-profit organizations, and municipal entities that need a website built specifically around their goals rather than a generic template.

Every site starts from scratch: CleverOgre skips off-the-shelf templates and third-party themes in favor of one-of-a-kind designs built on the WordPress platform. The team handles both frontend and backend development, then hosts finished sites on its own AWS cloud-based servers, reserved exclusively for projects it has built. Content strategy and conversion copywriting round out the build, aimed at putting a client's message in the right order for both readers and search engines, while accessibility design is treated as a baseline requirement given current regulatory expectations.

Past work includes highly customized interactive maps built for clients with nationwide project portfolios, along with original logo design for clients looking to express brand identity beyond a website. All design and development work is done locally in the USA, with hosting infrastructure described as exceeding industry standards for security and stability.
