Commercial Artisan works out of Indianapolis on visual identity and publication projects for cultural and institutional clients rather than retail brands. The studio designed a publication spotlighting fields of study spanning science, the arts, theology, and social media, and it took on the assignment of visually interpreting Karen's work for inclusion in the new art-focused Eskenazi Health Center. It also built a new logo intended to reflect the natural elegance of a park, and produced a book documenting a club's centennial year.

Services run from brand strategy and positioning through visual identity, report and publication design, illustration, and event or trade show graphics. That range shows up in the poster series created for The Bigger Picture Show and in a separate poster series for The Gibson Garage, the Nashville outpost of a larger client. Annual report work has included an issue themed Color Outside the Lines, treating what the studio calls a de facto annual report as a design object rather than a compliance document.

Current work includes design for Coordinates of Belonging, a 2026 exhibition at the Indianapolis gallery COMPANION, and a visual interpretation of fashion historian Jonathan Michael Square's North Star collection, titled Center Stage. Commercial Article 17, one of the studio's projects, has been recognized by the 2026 Society of Typographic Arts 100 Show. Across galleries, health centers, parks, and long-running clubs, the throughline is publication and identity work built around a specific institution's history or subject matter rather than a generic template.
