Computer Maintenance Service has operated out of Mokena, IL since 1990, working with small and medium-sized manufacturing and medical businesses across the Chicago suburbs. The firm covers computing, networking, and printing environments for clients who need outside IT handled by people who have done it for years rather than months — technicians brought on are required to have at least 5-10 years of field experience before joining.
Services span managed IT services, cloud computing, data backup and recovery, VoIP solutions, virtualization, and IT consulting, alongside practical work like office moves and equipment repair. For manufacturing clients specifically, the goal is to take day-to-day IT questions off their plate so operations and production staff can stay focused on running the business rather than troubleshooting servers or phone systems.
The approach centers on being a single point of contact for a client's IT needs — networking, backup, cloud infrastructure, and hardware issues are handled under one roof rather than split across multiple vendors. That consolidation matters for smaller manufacturing and medical offices that do not have in-house IT staff and need consulting on strategy and roadmaps alongside routine help desk support and vendor and license management. Decades of operating in the same Chicago-area market has shaped a client base concentrated in manufacturing and medical practices, sectors where downtime on a backup system or a VoIP outage has direct operational consequences, which is reflected in the emphasis on disaster recovery and platform management as core offerings rather than add-ons.
