Cooper Carry works across architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture, with practice areas that include experiential graphic design, historic rehabilitation and adaptive reuse, programming and predesign, and sustainability services. Project sectors span government and civic work, higher education, K-12, hospitality, multifamily residential, mixed-use, office workplace, retail, restaurants, science and technology, and transit and transit-oriented development, alongside urban design and planning.

The Johnson Studio operates within the firm with a focus on hospitality design. Work extends internationally as well as domestically, reflecting a practice built around multiple design disciplines rather than a single specialty.
