Creative Guild

Creative Guild is an independent creative agency based in Hamilton, Ontario, with a team of more than 20 people and 15-plus years of independent growth behind it. Client partnerships average seven years, a list that includes Nicholson Cates, Whirlpool Canada, HelloFresh, DeSantis Developments and Flightpath. The agency describes its work as combining creativity, technology and productivity rather than treating them as separate disciplines.

Work is organized around five functions: Creative develops brands, campaigns and content; Accounts leads internal and client teams through project delivery; Strategy aligns creative and technology decisions with business goals using data; Technology designs and builds custom digital solutions; and AI applies artificial intelligence in practical, strategic ways. Because the agency keeps developers in-house, it takes on custom software builds, application development, integrations and AI projects alongside brand strategy, positioning, UX research, web design and web development, rather than routing technical work to outside vendors.

One output of this in-house technology capability is modzee™, an all-purpose employee management software product Creative Guild built itself. The agency also runs on what it calls a proprietary operating system, an internal framework meant to connect creative output, technical execution and day-to-day productivity across a project.
