Handmade Interactive, based in Pasadena, builds custom websites and mobile applications for industry, government, and nonprofit organizations. The agency has worked in this space for over two decades, combining design with usability and security considerations rather than treating them as separate concerns.

Work spans a range of platforms and formats: Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, and Symfony for web builds, JavaScript and Angular for front-end development, and native iOS and Android development for mobile apps. Recent projects illustrate the range: a Drupal site for the Orange County Museum of Art, a WordPress build for the Institute for Girls Development and for Altadena Children's Center, and a custom e-commerce site for Robert Kaufman Fabrics spanning more than 8,000 pages. Mobile work includes a Quilting Calculator app with a math-focused chatbot for iOS and Android, and a mobile app and website for ActVnet supporting emergency communication between educators and law enforcement. The IMS2026 Global Technology Conference project paired a Drupal-built site with a companion mobile app featuring an AI chatbot, while Parsons Federal Credit Union relied on Drupal for its web presence.
