Mobile Apps Accella

Accella builds websites, digital products, and mobile apps for organizations outside typical consumer tech circles: associations, nonprofits, connected health companies, energy and power providers, credit unions, and insurance groups. Jason King, president, started the agency as a fully remote operation, hiring people regardless of location rather than building around a single office.

Project work spans UX research, wireframing, interaction design, and usability testing on the front end, paired with frontend and backend development to build out the resulting products. Native app and mobile IoT platform design and development extend that work into connected devices, while a separate practice focuses on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for associations that need their expertise findable and citable as search shifts toward AI-driven results.

The AEO work includes technical remediation such as structured data, schema optimization, LLMs.txt setup, and site speed fixes, alongside content strategy that reviews an association's existing content and current visibility to surface gaps and opportunities. Measurement draws on tools such as SEMrush and GPT visibility scores, along with inbound traffic and engagement tracking, as part of assessing how content is found and cited as search engines change how they retrieve answers.
