Moonbase Labs builds software for organizations working on a mission rather than a market. Clients include nonprofit lenders offering digital loan applications to rural entrepreneurs, baby sleep experts supporting parents through sleep training, last-mile delivery companies sourcing electric vehicles for their fleets, and leadership organizations organizing grassroots movements. The Wichita, KS studio takes on problems that mix software development with operational and social complexity.

Work moves through a three-step process: identify the problem space, create a backlog, then build the solution. Services span application development, systems integration, product discovery and MVP work, and ongoing maintenance and support, covering a project from early scoping through to a working, supported product.

Past work includes an Electric Fleet Simulator built for Lightning eMotors, the Kansas Beats the Virus initiative for Kansas Leadership Center, and KERII, a digital survey and analytics tool delivered for KansasMTSS under a tight timeline. The studio is led by CEO Nic Wentling, who works across code and business, and CTO Christian Taylor, who works across code and design.
