Regional Transportation District

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) provides comprehensive public transportation services in the Denver Metro Area. Governed by a 15-member, publicly elected Board of Directors, RTD operates over 100 local, regional, and SkyRide bus routes, along with 10 rail lines covering 113 miles. Their mission is to enhance lives through improved connectivity.

RTD offers a variety of services including Tap-n-Ride for convenient fare payment and real-time location tracking of buses and trains. They are committed to safety and security, with transit police and customer support teams ensuring a welcoming transit environment. RTD also focuses on infrastructure investments, such as the Downtown Rail Reconstruction project, to continuously improve service quality.

RTD engages with the community through public feedback sessions and service change proposals, aiming to optimize their transit system. They also support local organizations with Transit Assistance Grants, providing no-cost fare options to those in need.
