The Distillery

The Distillery works with Australia's mid-market on technology deployment, building custom digital platforms, mobile apps, AI-powered products and websites rather than off-the-shelf fixes. Based in Adelaide and independently Australian owned since founding in 2008, the consultancy blends hosted services, SaaS, AI and custom development depending on what a given business problem actually calls for.

Much of the engagement starts before a line of code is written: the Scoping Package is built to give boards and key stakeholders enough clarity to commit without, as the agency puts it, taking a leap of faith. From there work extends into developing roadmaps for rolling out new systems, digitising manual processes, and building in AI-enabled efficiency gains where they fit the operation.

Support doesn't stop at launch. The Distillery structures ongoing assistance once a platform, app or site goes live, rather than treating delivery as the end point. Leadership includes Kristian Hedge as Managing Director, Julian Robertshawe as CTO, and David Avery overseeing customer relationships, giving clients a defined set of contacts across strategy, technical delivery and account management.
