The Refinery

The Refinery helps operations leaders make confident and financially sound technology decisions. Founded in 2005 by Dave Goerlich and Josh Walsh, the company has grown from a small software design and development agency into a trusted partner for organizations seeking to minimize risk and maximize the business value of their technology investments.

The agency offers services such as the QUILT Assessment, Solution Refinement Engagement, and Impact Advisory Retainer. These services guide clients through structured processes to uncover root challenges, quantify financial value, and deliver defensible recommendations. The Refinery focuses on clarity before code, ensuring that every technology decision supports efficiency, margin, and growth.

The Refinery has a proven track record of success, including reducing a manufacturer's forecasting process from 20 hours to 1 hour and doubling forecasting accuracy for a supplier. Their approach emphasizes partnership, radical accountability, and a focus on measurable outcomes, ensuring that every project delivers substantial business value.
