Tri-S Recruiters was founded in Chicago in 1992 by Jim Shemroske and Mark Shemroske as a full service recruiting and staffing firm. The client roster spans Fortune 50 corporations down to medium-sized businesses and start-ups, and recruiters work across Information Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing/Production/Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, and Accounting. Placements range from mid-level professionals to executive hires, reflecting a practice built around matching candidates to roles at varying levels of seniority rather than a single specialty.

Engagement models include Direct Hire, Contract, and Contract to Direct Hire, giving employers a choice depending on how quickly or flexibly they need to fill a role. Continuity runs through the firm's staff: Tracey Gzamouranis has been with Tri-S since 1994, Joe Shemroske since 1995, and Rosanne Chlada joined in 2002 after building over 15 years of experience in office administration.
