Brightworks

Brightworks works from Bristol as a product design and development consultancy, building physical products and product experiences for sectors including medical devices, healthcare, security and telecoms equipment, and capital goods. The team pairs product designers with 3D CAD design engineers, focusing on projects where a device needs to move from concept into something that can actually be manufactured and used in the field.

Work centres on bespoke product design and technical product development, including custom enclosure design for electronics and attention to ergonomics and user interaction. SolidWorks 3D CAD modelling underpins the design process, with design decisions made for cost-effective manufacture and assembly rather than concept alone. Brightworks also builds and tests physical prototypes using 3D printing and rapid prototyping before a design is finalised.
