Founded in 2000 by Valerie Koenig, Business Plans Hawaii works with start-up ventures and established businesses across Hawaii, producing business plans, market research, financial projections, feasibility studies, and operations advice. The firm distinguishes between three types of plans: external plans built to persuade private investors or bankers, start-up plans that test the feasibility of a new venture, and internal plans developed by owners and leaders inside an existing company to guide decisions.

Beyond plan writing, the firm offers investor preparation services, including investor slide decks for raising private equity and investor research and segmentation to help clients target the right backers.
