Andesign

ANDESIGN is a research and development company in Austin, Texas, working at the intersection of mechatronics engineering and physical sciences. Founded in 2008 and led by Chief Technologist Andrew Namminga, the team builds physical prototypes and pre-production pilot builds, integrating mechanical components with sensors, actuators, and microcontrollers before commercializing the resulting products and technologies through spin-off companies.

Work happens at the ATX laboratory, a hands-on prototype facility equipped with CNC machines and 3D printers for building and testing across disciplines. ANDESIGN also maintains a patent portfolio tied to its development work and partners selectively with people it describes as caring about doing things right.
