Cincom Systems builds software for configuring, pricing, and quoting complex products, and for generating the documents that follow a sale or a loan. Its customer base spans industrial equipment, medical device, specialty vehicle, HVAC, electrical and electronics, power generation, and pumps and valves manufacturers on one side, and mortgage and lending, wealth management, and credit union and community bank operations on the other.

Cincom CPQ handles configuration, pricing, and quoting together, with Configure-to-Order features aimed at automating the sales process so quotes reflect accurate product and pricing logic rather than manual lookups. Cincom Eloquence addresses customer communication management: conditional logic and workflows drive both batch and on-demand document generation, which the company applies to loan disclosure automation, CFPB and other regulatory notice automation, and account statement and financial notice production for lenders and banks. Separately, Cincom Smalltalk, delivered through the VisualWorks and ObjectStudio products, gives development teams a way to build and maintain software with less risk and faster delivery of working code.

Cincom traces its founding to 1968, giving it a 56-year run in software before the current CPQ, CCM, and Smalltalk lines took shape. The manufacturing side of its client base relies on CPQ to move equipment quotes through sales automation without re-keying specifications, while the financial services side leans on Eloquence to keep regulatory and account notices consistent across batch runs and one-off requests. The two product lines address different problems, configuration-heavy selling versus document-heavy compliance, but both are built to remove manual steps from processes that produce a large volume of similar, rule-governed outputs.
